Arman! Thank you, my friend, for the shout out. Your issues are always so succintly packed with insights and interesting thoughts. I really enjoy reading you. :)
I appreciate that Silvio. It's been so fun following you on your writing journey for the past year. I hope you continue to share your wonderful stories. The world needs to hear them!
I agree with the Five Chimps rule. It is a good guideline but a tad harsh. After all, what constitutes success? Who says we've improved while they have not? It's definitely good to sever ties with toxicity, but should we be such social climbers? Who's the chimp now?
Yeah it is. That's the point I was trying to make. Maybe it's ok to stick around the chimps we were naturally drawn to early on and stick by them and encourage them. Instead of dropping them always looking for a "better" group.
Agreed on the people you spend time with. My social circle has changed a lot since I moved to Lisbon. I still love my friends from my hometown, but being surrounded by successful people in here really makes a difference in many ways.
The most salient difference is my mindset and motivation to pursue new projects. Everyone has a business, is in the process of building one, or work as freelancers in here. So you can share your ideas, receive job offers out of the blue, find partners... It's such an inviting environment.

What kind of differences have you noticed in yourself since you moved and started hanging around a new group of people?

That's awesome! It really makes such a big difference and can open your mind up in previously unimaginable ways.
