You still did really well! What works for me is I operate a no-buy list (or buy-later). If I want to impulse buy something I put it on that list. If I still want it after at least two weeks I'm allowed to buy it. This really works to reduce my impulse buying!
That's a great method. I need to try that. Who knows how many things I bought impulsively that if I would've just given it a couple days I would've completely forgot about it.
I only realized that I own multiples of the same thing when I stopped online shopping and digging in my closets and drawers. The amount of batteries I found was mind-boggling
Haha that's so painfully true for me too. I hate moving but the one thing I like about it is that it forces me to actually take a look at all the stuff I have. And it feels great donating or throwing away tons of it!
Um yes. I have 350 of them I've created and used over time. If you take this quiz I can send you the ones that will most benefit you. breakarule.outgrow.us/pivot-story-finder (not that you seem to need much help with coming up with great personal experiments.)
How did you come up with the ‘bidet’ line? 😂🙈 Bidets are such an Italian thing, I didn't think the rest of the world even knew about them. I didn't until I met my Italian boyfriend

Quite a lot in my case...
...inspiring for sure...been meaning to do something similar for a while...
like anything worth doing - its simple but NOT easy
I think I need to do that
Let me know how it goes! It was very eye opening.

Your personal experiments ought to be highlighted and chronicled on their own as a memoir. They're funny, inspiring, and instructive.
Thank you Rick. I've been having a blast doing these little experiments. Any ideas for others I could try?

I should've known you've already created such a great resource. Thank you!

I looked up lists of the most un-American things and that popped up haha.
But I must admit, bidets are pretty amazing.
