Great post Arman! I love how everyone is asking whatโ€™s โ€œhawk tuaโ€ in the comments ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.

Thank you Malik! Haha I thought I was the only one who wasn't in the "know".

This needs to be a front page articleโ€ฆonly problem is people donโ€™t read past headlines anymore ๐Ÿฅฒ

Haha I appreciate you! That's why I try to make my headlines contain the message I want to get across even if they don't read past that.

What the heck is a hawk tuah? Maybe I don't want to know. Like you, I decided to be blissfully ignorant. I still follow news, some trending topics, and politics to an extent. But I understand that a lot of information today is misreported and biased. I take it in as any other entertainment. Independent journalism - what's that? Anyways, a lot of news is meant to get us fired up and pit against each other. Hence, it's just better to focus on your immediate milieu, your interests, and how to be kind to others.

Trust me, you don't want to know! I think that's the right approach to take when it comes to news, it's nothing more than entertainment. They're entire business model only works if they stir up anger, hatred, and strife. But I prefer to keep this in mind when it comes to news -- anything that is truly worth knowing about will find its way to me without constantly consuming it.

Sadly I wasnโ€™t sheltered for too long lol. Indeed, thatโ€™s how news are. And itโ€™s very telling when they all sing the same tune.

What's hawk tuah? I'm out of the loop.

In any case, I'm pretty sure one of the stoics said something about not needing to have an opinion on everything. And honestly, it's quite liberating. It's freeing when you don't have to have a reply to everything.

Please stay out of the loop on that one. You'll thank me later.

Of course the stoics had already realized this thousands of years before me!

Never heard of the hawk tuah thing so of course since it's you mentioning it I had to take a look, but that lasted about 20 seconds. that might be one of the best examples you could have offered to prove that some ignorance is bliss.

My deepest apologies for making you look that up...

What does this say about our species when these types of things capture our collective attention?

I'd answer that question but it would just be my opinion.

โ€œWe need to make saying โ€œI donโ€™t knowโ€ great again.โ€ Thatโ€™s the only conclusion that I can come by honestly. Two sayings that I have wondered over often throughout my past career.

โ€œNobody knows anythingโ€ William Goldman

โ€œEverything is permitted.โ€ William Burroughs

Haha I like what both of those William's had to say! I'm also starting to think adults don't exist. We're all just kids trying to figure it out day by day.

Lately, influenced by the times, I ve come to see it from more sinister perspective. It seems that some adults seek to control the narrative. The wannabe dominators think they know better. Perhaps the arrogant privilege of adhering to a system of belief that averts the potential of risk. A pyramid scheme of power. I can only assume they are terrified of the unknown. That said.

I really donโ€™t know.

Oh I like that - "a pyramid scheme of power". Nice line!

Absolutely. I felt so much better about not feeling like I had to come up with completely original ideas after reading the book "steal like an artist".

Haha he had his airpods in so I took that as a sign that he didn't want to be bothered. Hopefully I get another shot!
